Royal Welsh Show
Four days each July at Llanelwedd near Builth Wells, the gathering of Welsh farming and the show ring of the Welsh Black.

Cattle at Royal Welsh Show
The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society held its first show in 1904, and since 1963 the Royal Welsh Show has had a permanent showground at Llanelwedd, in the middle of Wales. Over four days in July it is one of the largest agricultural shows in Europe, and much of rural Wales comes. Sheep classes are the largest, as Wales is sheep country, but the cattle lines are strong too, with the Welsh Black, an old hill breed that can live out on the uplands through the winter, the Hereford from across the border, and dairy cattle from the valleys of the south-west. The show also has forestry, crafts, food halls and Welsh-language events.
The breeds
Also part of it, and being written: Welsh Black cattle (The hardy black cattle of the Welsh hills.).
